Opening of new Millfields Social Supermarket

A brand-new co-op social supermarket has officially opened its doors in Stonehouse, offering affordable food, essential household goods, and vital community support to local residents.

The supermarket operates as a co-operative, meaning it is led and owned by its members, with a clear focus on dignity, connection, and supporting people through the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. Membership is open to anyone living in postcode areas: PL1 3 & PL1 5, with a small annual fee and straightforward sign-up process.

The supermarket offers high-quality products at significantly reduced prices, as well as information and signposting to local services and support. But more than that, it aims to be a welcoming space where local people can come together, find support, and feel part of something.
